LA Opera and The Wallis present tenor Joshua Guerrero in recital on June 7
(Los Angeles) May 5, 2025 — On Saturday, June 7, 2025, LA Opera and The Wallis will present the last of three recitals in their season-long collaboration: Joshua Guerrero, one of the brightest tenors of his generation, in an intimate performance with pianist Peter Walsh.
One of LA Opera’s greatest success stories, Joshua Guerrero began his professional career in the company's Domingo-Colburn-Stein Young Artist Program, soon moving up to the leading tenor roles in Moby-Dick, Macbeth and The Ghosts of Versailles. And that was just the beginning. Hailed as one of OperaWire's "Top 11 Singers of 2023," he now regularly stars at the major opera houses of Europe and North America, and even lent his voice to the Disney/Pixar juggernaut Coco. He will make his long-awaited return to Los Angeles with a recital in an interesting nontraditional format, beginning with art songs, and then taking the audience on a journey through his many musical influences, including jazz, cabaret and traditional Mexican songs.

The recital will be presented at 7:30pm on Saturday, June 7, at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts (The Wallis), located at 9390 N. Santa Monica Boulevard, Beverly Hills, CA 90210.
